Miafilm is a London based production company founded by Caterina Monzani and Sergio Vega Borrego. Our passion for filmmaking and need to create bridges between our different countries of origin, turned us to create a production company with a soft spot for co-productions.

Caterina works regularly for The Guardian and is an experienced self shooting documentary director, producer and editor. She graduated in cinema studies from the University of Bologna, Italy, and studied at the National Film & Television School, in the UK.
Sergio is a film editor. His latest credits include feature documentary ISLAND (London BFI and Rotterdam IFF and film installation VERTIGO SEA directed by John Akomfrah for 56th Venice Biennale. He was awarded a scholarship to attend the National film & Television school where he graduated with an MA in film editing in 2008 and has recently completed a Master Research in Visual Culture at Goldsmiths University.
